Bentley Mark 6 Saloon (1948)

A nice old early Mark Six with a presentable two-tone body, tidy inside with new carpets, rebuilt engine, electronic ignition, new tyres and good brakes. Unpretentious and drivable, it is priced to sell.

This Mark Six, Chassis No. B23CD, Matching Engine No. B-262-C, was manufactured in 1948, sold to Captain W.R. Bailey and first registered as DUH 762 in 1949. It was believed to be in Jersey in the 70’s and was purchased by Mr N D Morley in 1989 who had the body repainted in dark blue over silver and kept it for the next 22years but hardly used it. Indeed the car has only covered about 2000 miles since then. He also re-registered it as USU 504. The last owner rebuilt the engine including new pistons and rings (the old ones are in the boot!) and refurbished it mechanically. The interior is dark brown and has worn somewhat but is still very presentable and we have fitted new red carpets to brighten it up. Underneath it is as solid as they come. It is now a beautiful old 1940's Bentley, showing its age. For use as it is or enhance with some light TLC. It has some paperwork, non-original tools and a Workshop Manual.
