Alfa Romeo Sprint 2600 (1966)

Top of the 1960’s Alfa range, this rare RHD 2600 Sprint has rich dark red metallic coachwork and new soft cream leather seats. It has only covered 64k miles and it is mechanically sound having recently had the engine overhauled and a partial re-spray.

These cars were designed by Giugiaro and with coachwork by Bertone they are Italian through and through. The car (Chassis 854481) has a superb 6 cylinder twin overhead cam all aluminium engine (2585 cc)and excellent gearbox and brakes. It spent some years in Edinburgh before going South and was virtually laid up for 12 years thus accounting for its low mileage. It was refurbished in 2006 at a cost of over £7k. The coachwork is very good and the bright work is acceptable. Although rare it is still possible to get parts for these cars. The car has recently had the engine overhauled, the bonnet re-sprayed and the bodywork professionally polished. These large sporting Alfa’s with their refined styling and more powerful engines are increasingly becoming recognised as the best of the range and provide an excellent opportunity for investment and enjoyment.
